The Great Outdoors!
Buttons isn't quite sold on this warm weather, but he had a lot of fun sniffing outside this afternoon. He followed along behind me with that big goofy grin on his face!
When we went back inside he had a drink of water and then proceeded back to his favorite spot for a nap. He is such a sweet, mellow boy!

Papasans and Piggies
Buttons loves snoozing in the papasan. He has been soaking in the sunshine from the window with a little snore here and there.
He has also found a new favorite toy, a fluffy little pink piggy, which he likes to use as a pillow.

When I met Buttons...
I met Buttons last summer when he was first returned to LDCRF. He had lived with that family all of his life, but the family's situation changed and Buttons needed to look for a new home. I would always love on Buttons at adoption events, but I never thought to foster him since he was so perfect. In addition to his amazing personality, Buttons is housetrained, crate trained, and has excellent manners.
Somehow this handsome gentleman is being overlooked so I decided that I had to bring Buttons home and show the world how great this goofy boy is to have around! Today he hopped out of the LDCRF van with a smile on his face and his big fluffy tail wagging away! He greeted everyone with polite enthusiasm and after settling in proceeded to roll over and request belly rubs from shoppers as they passed by. When it was was time to leave, Buttons hopped right into the backseat and got comfortable. When we got home Buttons was greeted by our pack of three crazy pups - a bossy terrier, a shy shepherd, and a goofy pit bull. Buttons was instantly accepted as part of the pack and our dogs already love him. He is happy to play, but even happier to just snuggle with me on the couch. I am already in love with this big hunk of love and I am sure that he will make some family very happy!
